60+ Unique Travel Gifts They’ll Love!

This page may contain affiliate links. More info in our Privacy Policy.

We’ve curated a list of unique travel gift ideas for the jet setter in your life! If you’re a travel-lover yourself, this list is a good place to gather wish list ideas. From super practical travel gear to pretty gifts for the home, this guide is packed full of unique gifts for travelers that’ll actually get used and loved.

Unique Travel Gifts | Two Wandering Soles

Wondering what to give that person in your life who has an incurable case of wanderlust (other than a flight around the world)?

Well, you’ve come to the right place, because we put together a list of unique travel gifts for all types of explorers.

From super practical travel gear they’ll actually use on their next trip to something unique they’d never think to buy for themselves, you’ll be sure to find a perfect travel gift.

And hey, maybe you’ll find a few items for your own wishlist, so take notes!

Our Favorite Gift-Giving Tips

Before we get into the actual gifts in this guide, here are a few things we like to keep in mind when we shop for presents. We thought we’d pass them along in case they’re helpful to you:

1. Shop local or small when possible. We love shopping on Etsy or supporting artists we follow on Instagram. (There are a handful of Etsy gifts included in this guide.)

2. Lean towards practical gifts. Think about things that they will actually use instead of stuff that’s just going to collect dust. Sometimes this means they’re not the cutest items — I mean, packing cubes aren’t exactly beautiful, but they’ll sure get a lot of use! Add on something small like a yummy artisan chocolate bar to make it just a little more fun!

3. DIY it! We’re huge fans of DIY gifts. In fact, there are a couple of fun DIY ideas in this gift guide.

4. Look into the companies you’re supporting. When we purchase things, it’s like “voting” with our money. This helps keep businesses alive and thriving, so when possible, choose to support companies that are doing good things like giving back and operating ethically. We know it’s not always possible to vet every single company you purchase from (and we’re guilty of buying things without doing any research quite often). But we’ve tried our best to include some companies on this list that are doing some pretty cool things!

5. Give the gift of an experience or time. Have someone on your list who has everything they need and want? Why not gif them an experience? Tickets to a Christmas play, a concert, a massage, a night out while you babysit, a brunch date with you… whatever it is you think they might enjoy.

6. Skip traditional wrapping. Traditional bags and paper are pretty darn wasteful and they can be expensive. Why not buy a handful of reusable tote bags for your gift-giving this year? You can use jute or ribbon to tie the handles together for a festive touch!

Perfect gifts for every type of traveler

Instead of being filled with high-priced items (like a drone or laptop!) that you’d never realistically be able to wrap and place beneath the tree, we’ve curated a list of things that are a little more… practical to give as a present

We’ve gathered all sorts of items for different kinds of travelers. Jump to different sections to see the best gift for your favorite traveler.

Oh, and we have a variety of price points too. If you’re on a tight budget, don’t worry because we even have a section of great travel gifts under $15.
